Son nom vient d’une tribu esquimaude du Nord-Ouest de l’Alaska: les Mahlemut. Ces derniers l’utilisaient pour tirer leurs traîneaux, porter des sacoches ou aller à la chasse et à la pêche. / The Alaskan Malamute is a Northern Breed known for its strength and endurance. Its name comes from a North-Eastern Alaskan Tribe called the Mahlemut. They were used for dogsledding, backpacking, hunting and fishing.
